Rescuing troubled projects

Project Management

Challenges

According to various sources about 30-40% of projects fail to meet their objectives - in whole or in part. About 70% of organizations have experienced at least one unsuccessful project in the past 12 months. Finally, only about 40% of projects meet their deadlines, are completed within budget and fulfill all of their goals.*

Our Answer

One of the most important services offered by BREMER Spk. is the Project Rescue. We help our clients fix their projects even in the most difficult cases. Because each project is different and specific, there is no single universal repair method that we use. Each time we analyze the situation thoroughly and then we structure an individualized strategy which will lead your project to success.

However, assuming some generalization, a typical project rescue involves the following steps:

  • Project audit including: interviews with key project stakeholders and project team members, verification of project documentation completeness, compliance of the project with the selected methodology, compliance of the communicated project state with its actual state, completeness of the scope of the project vs. expectations and many other aspects.
  • Creating an audit report with recommendations regarding changes in project organization, its implementation, or changes in scope or other recommendations depending on the problems found during the audit.
  • Implementation of the recommendations, which may involve supporting the current project manager or substituting him with our Consultant. Depending on the range of the recommended changes and the size of the project, this phase may take from several weeks to even several months.
  • The final step is to deliver a healthy project for further implementation or completion by our consultant.

Value for the Client

We offer each client a preliminary one-day project audit completely FREE!

Depending on the scale of the project its repair can be done by one consultant or a team of several people and can last from several weeks to up to a year. We treat each case of project rescue individually. At the stage of the offer and at the implementation stage the client receives extensive information on how we are going to perform the repair and an estimated duration of the repair.

As part of the Project Rescue, we also support our clients in many issues regarding their projects such as renegotiation of supplier contracts, mediation with suppliers, supplier contract audits, reorganization of design offices, reorganization of the project portfolio management within the organization, and modification of resource management policies across the entire project portfolio.
